Cognitive function improvement is an ability to organize information for the better. One of the methods to improve it is functional food. Gotu kola leaves (Centella asiatica L.) and purple sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas L.) have high antioxidant contents of flavanoid, asiaticoside, triterpenoid, and anthocyanin compounds which are able to counteract free radicals. This research aims at determining the effect of administering extracts, simplicia, and snack bars from 70% ethanol extract of gotu kola leaves combined with purple sweet potato on cognitive test for white rats, as well as determining total flavonoid levels, and characteristics of snack bar preparations. The rendement of extract taken from UAE extraction method of 24.28% gotu kola leaves and 16.99% purple sweet potato. The results of flavonoid level test of total quercetin comparation on gotu kola leaves and purple sweet potato are sequentially 32.58 mgQE/g and 19.54 mgQE/g. The characteristics of snack bar obtained are 5.25% water levels, 1.91% ashes, 8.92% proteins, 18.46% fats, 66.06% carbohydrates, and 249.44 Kcal calories. The study compared the statistical fluctuation of data during pre-test and post-test. The rats are divided into 5 groups composing of normal control (distilled water and pellet), positive (piracetam 500 mg/KgBW), treatment I (simplicia of gotu kola and purple sweet potato, 300 mg/KgBW each), treatment II (ethanol extracts of gotu kola combined with purple sweet potato, 300 mg/KgBW each), and treatment III (snack bar of gotu kola combined with purple sweet potato extract). The parameter of rats performances is based on Type B error score of the radial arm maze (RAM). Data were analyzed using One Way ANOVA, and it was found that each treatment group pre-test and post-test were significantly different (P
