HUBUNGAN SANITASI LINGKUNGAN DAN PRAKTIK HYGIENE DENGAN KEJADIAN DEMAM BERDARAH DENGUE DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS SUKARAMI KOTA PALEMBANG TAHUN 2022
Dengue hemorrhagic fever is caused by the dengue virus, transmitted by the aedes aegypti mosquito vector. Dengue hemorrhagic fever has increased rapidly worldwide in the few decades. The purpose of this study was to analyze the correlation between environmental sanitation and hygiene practices with the incidence of Sukarami Health Center, Palembang City. Based on data from the Sukarami Health Center in 2022, the prevalence of dengue hemorrhagic fever is 12,7%. This study used a analytic observational with cross-sectional design using a simple random sampling technique. The number of samples was 88 respondents in the Sukarami Health Center working area in Palembang City. Data analysis was carried out in stages: univariate analysis, bivariate chi-square analysis, and multivariate analysis of multiple logistic regression prediction models. The results showed that 22 respondents (25,0%) were exposed to dengue hemorrhagic fever, and 66 (75,0%) respondents were not exposed to dengue hemorrhagic fever. Based on the chi-square test, the variables associated with the incidence of dengue hemorrhagic fever were water storage (p-value 0.026) and lighting (p-value 0.019). The variables that are not related to the incidence of dengue hemorrhagic fever are hanging used clothes (p-value 0.139), sewerage (p-value 0.460), garbage disposal facilities (p-value 1.000), ventilation (p-value 1.000), and humidity (p-value 1.000). Based on multiple logistic regression tests, it was found that the water reservoir variable (p-value 0.11 PR 4.271 95%Cl 1.402 – 13.008) was the most dominant in the incidence of dengue hemorrhagic fever. Therefore, people are advised to pay attention to the condition of the home environment so that it is always neat and clean so that it does not become a breeding ground for mosquito vectors.
