ANALISIS FAN PADA TURBOFAN ENGINE DENGAN METODE COMPUTATIONAL FLUID DYNAMICS (CFD)
The innovation being developed at this time is an aircraft propulsion engine with the working principle of a gas turbine that can accommodate large-scale aircraft (Boeing, Airbus, etc.) as well as high-speed fighter aircraft (supersonic and hypersonic) which include Turbojet, TurboFan, Turboprop, Turboshaft and other modifications. For this type of TurboFan aircraft engine, air is required to enter the blade and it will be compressed again by the smaller blade. Then, it is directed into the combustion chamber and then given ignition until the temperature tends to be high and then sprayed with fuel so that combustion occurs which turns into thrust. The purpose of this research is to get the performance value on the simple design Fan of TurboFan Engine, namely Advance ratio (J), Thrust coefficient (KT) and Torque coefficient (KQ). The analysis used in this study uses Solidworks Flow Simulation in Solidworks 2018 software, which is a program from Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). In this research, the analysis was carried out on the fan section of the TurboFan Engine. The fan design used is a simple design with 3-dimensional images. The results of this research are that in each rotating region the value will always increase, so there will be an increase or decrease in the results of the goals obtained, and the Advance ratio (J), Thrust coefficient (KT) and Torque coefficient (KQ) values are obtained in the rotating region 400 rad /s, 500 rad/s and 600 rad/s
