HUBUNGAN ANTARA KESEHATAN MENTAL IBU DENGAN STATUS GIZI BALITA DI KECAMATAN SEBERANG ULU I.
Maternal mental health can affect the nutritional status of toddlers which can be seen in their parenting behavior, namely the practice of giving food, and behavior to maintain cleanliness and sanitation. The nutritional status of toddlers is very important, because toddlerhood is the period of the most rapid development. This study aims to examine the relationship between maternal mental health and the nutritional status of children under five in Seberang Ulu 1 sub-district. This study is a quantitative analytic study with a cross-sectional approach. Samples were taken using simple random sampling technique, totaling 112 respondents. There were 12 respondents (38.7%) of mothers with poor mental health who had children with abnormal nutritional status. While on the status of breastfeeding, there are 4 (36.4%) mothers who do not breastfeed their children and the nutritional status of children is not normal. The birth weight variable showed that 2 (28.6%) children born with low weight had abnormal nutritional status. Then the mother's occupation variable as many as 16 (38.1%) working mothers have children with abnormal nutritional status. Familu income below the minum wage is 21 famlies (35,6%) who have children with abnormal nutirition. The practice of early initiation of breastfeeding as many as 13 people (34,1%) did not practice intiation of breastfeeding and had children with abnormal nutrition. Then the variable number of children as many as 24 families (42,9%) have an ideal number of children with children who have abnormal nutrition. For Puskesmas and Posyandu, it is necessary to conduct counseling regarding maternal mental health for prospective brides, husbands and people around the mother.
