HUBUNGAN PREEKLAMSIA DENGAN KEJADIAN BERAT BADAN LAHIR RENDAH (BBLR) DI RSUD PALEMBANG BARI TAHUN 2020 (TAHUN PERTAMA PANDEMI COVID-19).
Background: Preeclampsia is a maternal factor that can cause LBW. This study aims to analyze the relationship between preeclampsia and low birth weight(BBLR) at RSUD Palembang BARI year 2020. Method: This study uses secondary data from RSUD Palembang BARI in 2020 with case-control study and purposive sampling techniques. Case sample was 34 babies with LBW and control sample was 136 babies normal weight birth (1:4). The study conducted univariate, bivariate (chi-square test), and multivariate analyses (multiple logistic regression with risk factor model). Results: Bivariate results with the chi-square test showed that there was a relationship between preeclampsia and the incidence of LBW with p value = 0.001 and OR = 8.556, the results of the multivariate analysis showed that there was a relationship between preeclampsia and the incidence of LBW after being controlled by variables of maternal age, maternal education, and maternal occupation with p value = 0.008 and OR = 6.394 (95%CI: 1,610-25,399). Conclusion: People, especially women of childbearing age, should avoid pregnancy at a risk age, pay attention to the number of pregnancies, do not work hard when pregnant, and increase knowledge about the factors that influence the incidence of preeclampsia and LBW. Keywords : Low Birth Weight (LBW), Preeclampsia, RSUD Palembang BARI. Literature : 106 (1999-2021)
