Musculoskeletal disorders are health problems that affect the normal function of the musculoskeletal system due to repeated exposure to various risk factors in the workplace. One of the jobs that is at risk of experiencing musculoskeletal disorders is as an athlete. Therefore, this study aims to analyze work posture and musculoskeletal riss experienced by bowling athletes in South Sumatra. This research using a descriptive research design with a qualitative approach. The questionnaire used the Nordic Body Map to find out musculoskeletal disorders and the Rapid Entire Body Assessment sheet to find out the level of risk of work posture. There were 9 informants. The results showed that the working posture of bowling athletes had a low risk in the beginning position, first step and second step with a score of 2-3, while the moderate risk was found in the activity of taking the ball, third step, fourth step and throwing the ball with a score range of 4-7. While high risk is found in the final position with a score of 8. For MSDs complaints in the quite sick category the highest score was 55.5% or as many as 5 informants experienced complaints of sufficient pain in the right hand and right forearm, for complaints of pain the largest score was 55.5% or as many as 5 informants had complaints of pain in the left knee. Meanwhile, for the very sick category, the highest score was 11.1% or 1 informant experienced complaints of very painful left ankle. The conclusion in this study was that athletes' posture measurements had low, medium and high risk levels, while for musculoskeletal complaints all informants experienced a low risk level with the most complaints being on the right hand and left calf. It is expected that athletes can use kinesio tape and warm up optimally and get enough rest to minimize MSDs complaints.
