PENGELOMPOKKAN KABUPATEN/KOTA DI SUMATERA SELATAN BERDASARKAN PERSENTASE FASILITAS RUMAH TANGGA MENGGUNAKAN METODE K-MEANS CLUSTERING

This study aims to obtain the results of districts/cities grouping in South Sumatra based on the variable percentage of household facilities using the k-means clustering analysis method by determining the average value between clusters to find the degree of similarity in characteristics between each cluster. The data analyzed in this study were taken from the website of the Central Statistics Agency for South Sumatra regarding the level of welfare of districts/cities in South Sumatra which included the districts of Banyuasin, Musi Banyuasin, Musi Rawas, North Musi Rawas, Ogan Ilir, Ogan Komering Ilir, Ogan Komering Ulu, Ogan Komering Ulu Selatan Ogan Komering Ulu Timur, Muara Enim, Lahat, Empat Lawang, Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir, Lubuk Linggau, Pagar Alam, Prabumulih, and Palembang City based on household facilities with variable quality levels. The variables used of decent living welfare were sources of electric lighting, tap and bottled drinking water, clean water, private latrines with septic tanks, per capita land area of less than 10m2, non-soil floors, proper roofs, and permanent walls. The calculation results obtained using the K-Means Clustering method were 8 clusters. Cluster 2 which consists of Palembang City has the highest average value based on the variable percentage of household facilities. Cluster 4 consists of Ogan Komering Ulu, Muara Enim, Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir, Prabumulih and Lubuk Linggau Regencies. Cluster 5 which consists of Musi Banyuasin and Ogan Ilir has a fairly high total average value because the value that is below the total average is only the floor variable, not the proper soil and roof. Furthermore, cluster 1 consists of Ogan Komering Ilir, Musi Rawas, and East Ogan Komering Ulu. Cluster 3 consists of Lahat, North Musi Rawas, and Pagar Alam Regencies. Cluster 6 consists of Empat Lawang Regency. Cluster 7 consists of Banyuasin, and cluster 8 with members of South Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, based on the variables studied, almost all of them are below the total average value.
