Macrozoobenthos is one of the biotic components that is able to provide an overview regarding the condition and quality of a waters. The abundance and community structure of macrozoobenthos be affected by several factors such as C-organic content and sediment texture. Tanjung Carat is an estuary area that has experienced a significant reduction in the area of mangrove forest due to land clearing for port development. The purpose of this study was to analyze the type, abundance, and community structure of the epifauna macrozoobenthos and to analyze the relationship between the abundance of epifauna macrozoobenthos with c-organic content and sediment texture in east side Tanjung Carat, Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra. The results of this study found 12 genera from 3 classes namely Gastropods, Malacostraca, and Bivalvia. Epifauna macrozoobenthos abundance values ranged from 233 ind/100m2 to 1733 ind/100m2 with the highest abundance values being at station 3 because it was supported by the type of sedimentary substrate and the C-organic content which was in the high category.
