ANALISIS KANDUNGAN FOSFAT (PO4) PADA PORE WATER DI PULAU PAYUNG, PROVINSI SUMATERA SELATAN
Phosphate is one of the essential components for marine life. The decomposition of phosphate in the water can affect water fertility and quality. Pore water is trapped sea water in the pores of marine sediment. The purpose of this research is to analyze the phosphate in pore water and water quality based on the concentration of phosphate in pore water sediment of Payung Island. The method of analysis used in this research is the ascorbic acid method. The results showed that the phosphate in pore water sediment of Payung Island ranged from 0.052-0.808 mg / L with the lowest value at station 4 and the highest value at station 2. It was found that Payung Island waters have clay substrate type in all of the station. Pore water sediment in Payung Island is influenced by the water quality, especially at station 4 which is influenced by temperature, salinity and DO and station 2 is influenced by pH.
