DETERMINAN PERILAKU BUDAYA KESELAMATAN PADA PEKERJA PT X HULU MINYAK DAN GAS PROVINSI SUMATERA SELATAN
Safety culture behavior had become a vital factor to reduce and prevent the occurrence of work accidents. The increasing number of work accidents was due to low safety behavior in the workplace. The main causes of work accident cases was generally influenced by personal and situational factors. The purpose of this study was to analyze the determinants of safety culture in Workers of Pt X Hulu Oil and Gas of South Sumatra Province. The research method used observational with a cross sectional approach. The research sample with the sampling proportion method amounted to 198 workers. Data analysis used the Chi Square test. The results of the bivariate analysis showed that job location (p value 0.040), top Manajemen commitment (p value 0.049), communication (p value 0.000), work environment (p value 0.049), and competence (p value 0.026) proved to significantly affect the behavior of safety culture. Meanwhile, the variables of sex research (p value 0.157), employee status (p value 0.703), age (p value 0.355), policy (p value 0.747), K3 peratiuran and procedures (p value 0.287), worker involvement in K3 (p value 1,000) and education (p value 0.904) were not proven to significantly affect the behavior of safety culture in workers of PT X Hulu Minyak dan Gas South Sumatra Province. Meanwhile, multivariate analysis showed that the communication variable was the variable that most affects the behavior of safety culture in workers of PT X Hulu Minyak dan Gas South Sumatra Province. Therefore, the company will be more committed to top management, communication, especially to workers in the field, and improve the competence of workers with various Occupational Health and Safety trainings both carried out by companies and outside parties.
