MODIFIKASI SiO2/ZrP BERPORI SEBAGAI KATALIS HYDROCRACKING CPO MENJADI BIOGASOLINE DAN BIOAVTUR
Crude palm oil can be converted into biogasoline and bioavtur through the hydrocracking process. An acid catalyst is needed to optimize the resulting product. The catalysts used were SiO2/ZrP catalysts, SiO2/ZrP catalysts with the EDTA template method, and SiO2/ZrP catalysts with the EDTA chelate method. This study aims to determine the physicochemical properties through XRD characterization, acidity analysis, and FTIR, as well as determine the catalytic activity and selectivity of the catalyst. The SiO2/ZrP sample using the EDTA template method showed good results for XRD characterization because it has a sharp peak and high intensity which is indicated by the cristobalite structure and the presence of a tetragonal phase. Analysis of total acidity using ammonia and surface acidity using pyridine to determine the acid sites. The SiO2/ZrP catalyst has the highest acidity value because it contains the most acid sites with a total acidity value is 1.0352 mmol/g and a surface acidity value is 0.3728 mmol/g. The results of the FTIR characterization of the three catalysts contained Bronsted acid sites at wave numbers 1637.08‒1615.98 cm-1. The SiO2/ZrP catalyst produced the highest conversion is 97.27% and had the highest selectivity of the bioavtur fraction is 23.98%, while the highest selectivity of the biogasoline fraction was found in the SiO2/ZrP catalyst with the EDTA chelate method is 57.07%.
