PREVALENSI TEMUAN PERIODONTITIS PADA RADIOGRAF PANORAMIK DI RSKGM PROVINSI SUMATERA SELATAN
Background: Periodontitis is a common periodontal disease that is still found in society. One method to examine periodontitis disease is panoramic radiograph. The purpose of this study was to determine the prevalence of periodontitis at RSKGM of South Sumatra Province using panoramic radiography. Methods: This type of research was a descriptive observational study that interpreted 171 panoramic radiographs at the RSKGM of South Sumatra Province in the period January-June 2022. Periodontitis categories were based on severity, bone loss pattern, and disease distribution. Interrater reliability test was conducted using Cohen's Kappa analysis. Results: The Kappa coefficient in determining periodontitis was 0.857 and interpreted into the strong category. Of a total 171 radiograph panoramic, 29 radiograph panoramic had periodontitis. The most frequent severity was mild periodontitis, followed by moderate periodontitis and severe periodontitis. The most frequent bone loss pattern was horizontal, followed by combination and vertical pattern. The most frequent disease distribution was localized, followed by generalisata. Conclusion: The prevalence of periodontitis at the RSKGM of South Sumatra Province in the period January-June 2022 using panoramic radiograph was 16.96%.
