STUDI EKSPERIMENTAL SIFAT FISIK DAN MEKANIK BAHAN CAMPURAN UNTUK PEMBUATAN AGREGAT RINGAN BERDASARKAN DENGAN VARIASI RASIO AIR
Concrete is a material in the world of construction at this time that is often used and is the most common. With the very rapid development of construction in Indonesia, it requires various kinds of innovations in the field of construction. In order to innovate a low density concrete material, it is necessary to fill the coarse aggregate in the concrete with light aggregate material. The use of lightweight materials is one way to apply the concept of earthquake-resistant buildings, according to Indonesia's geography, which often experiences earthquakes. In addition, the amount of water ratio used in the mixed material for making lightweight aggregates based on fly ash and cement can affect the results of lightweight aggregates and can determine their physical and mechanical properties. In addition to the water ratio factor, another factor that is no less important is the treatment process, the autoclaved method was chosen in this study by using a tool that utilizes pressure and temperature. In this study, it was obtained that the mixed material for the manufacture of lightweight aggregates with specimen F70-C15-Ca15-R2-AC produced a compressive strength value of 31.72 Mpa and an impact strength of 25%. Based on these results, this type meets the mechanical criteria as a lightweight aggregate according to the requirements of SNI 03-2461-2002 and BS 812 of 1990. However, because of its density value of 1214 Kg/m3 and water absorption of 24%, this artificial aggregate does not meet the physical criteria as a lightweight aggregate according to the requirements of SNI 03-2461-2002
