GAMBARAN STATUS GIZI PADA PASIEN KANKER KOLOREKTAL YANG MENJALANI KEMOTERAPI DI RSUP DR. MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG
Introduction: Colorectal cancer is a malignant tumor that arises from the epithelial tissue of the colon or rectum. The management of colorectal cancer is multidisciplinary, one of which is chemotherapy. The frequency of chemotherapy consists of one to eight cycles. Chemotherapy has various side effects, one of which is a decrease in nutritional status. The purpose of this study to describe nutritional status using BMI in colorectal cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Hospital Palembang. Method: This study is a descriptive study. Data obtained from the medical records of patients treated during December 2022 at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Hospital Palembang. Result: A total of 44 patients, the majority of patients were male and female equally (50%), middle age (52.3%), cancer location in the colon (50%), stage IV (75%), frequency of chemotherapy cycles 2 (34.1%), FOLFOX 6 regimen (27.3%), well nourished (50%). Conclussion: The number of male patients is the same as that of female, the majority are middle-aged adults, and the location of the cancer is in the colon with stage IV. The frequency of chemotherapy in cycles is at most cycles 2 with the FOLFOX 6 regimen. The majority of patients dominated by well nourished.
