Background. Brain tumor is defined as the uncontrolled proliferation of brain cells. Brain tumor can be classified as primary/secondary and can be categorized as benign/malignant regarding to its severity. The development of brain tumor can be induced by several factors, such as the long-term usage of hormonal contraceptives. A study has proven that there is approximately twelvefold increase in the risk of developing brain tumors in women who use hormonal contraceptives. This study aimed to measure the knowledge level of adult women against the risk of developing brain tumors in adult women who use hormonal contraceptives. Method. Moreover, this study used such research method called analytical observational with cross-sectional design. The researcher obtained the data by visiting each of respondent's house and asking for the respondent's willingness to be the sample of this study. The respondents then were asked to answer several questions of such questionnaire made by the researcher. The questionnaire consists of respondent's identity, respondent's history of using contraception, questions regarding contraception in general, and questions regarding the risk of developing brain tumors in adult women who use hormonal contraceptives. The sampling technique used in this study is proportionate stratified random sampling. Results. There are 46 respondents (1 respondent of each RT) that aligned with the inclusion criteria. It is shown that the majority of respondents' knowledge about contraception in general is scattered in high grade (54,45%). Meanwhile, there are 20 respondents (43,4%) who achieved the low to moderate score about the risk of developing brain tumors in adult women who use hormonal contraceptives—the healthcare workers probably haven't fully disseminated this topic to society. Conclusion. It is proven by chi-square analysis that the H0 hypotesis is completely rejected (p-value >0,05), which means there is no significant relation between age, education level, or occupation with the knowledge level of adult women against the risk of developing brain tumors in adult women who use hormonal contraceptives in Kelurahan 20 Ilir D IV. Keywords. Knowledge level, risk of developing brain tumors, hormonal contraceptives
