HUBUNGAN TINGKAT AKTIVITAS FISIK DAN KOMPOSISI TUBUH TERHADAP TINGKAT KEBUGARAN TUBUH PADA KANDIDAT TIM BANTUAN MEDIS SRIWIJAYA
Body fitness is an essential component for a person to be able to carry out physical activities every day effectively and efficiently without experiencing excessive fatigue. Fitness is essential in determining health status, morbidity, and mortality, both in children and adults. Fitness level is influenced by various factors such as age, gender, race, genetics, physical activity, lifestyle, nutritional status, and health status. Physical activity and nutritional status can be intervened to achieve good body fitness. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between physical activity level and body composition with body fitness. The research design used was observational analytic with a cross-sectional approach. Sixty-eight respondents were candidates for members of the Sriwijaya TBM, Faculty of Medicine, Sriwijaya University. The data obtained were primarily in the form of filling out a physical activity questionnaire using IPAQ-SF, examining body composition using BIA, and examining body fitness using the cooper test, then analyzed using the 26th edition of Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) software.This study found that most respondents had moderate physical activity levels (60.3%), and body composition was categorized as excess fat (60.3%). Most respondents' body fitness level was very poor (85.3%). There is a relationship between physical activity and body fitness with a p-value = 0.001, and there is a relationship between body composition and body fitness with a p-value = 0.007.
