HUBUNGAN IMPLEMENTASI EMPAT PILAR PENGELOLAAN DIABETES MELITUS TIPE 2 DENGAN KADAR GLUKOSA DARAH PUASA DI PUSKESMAS PLAJU TAHUN 2022.
Diabetes Mellitus (DM) type 2 is the most common type of diabetes of all types of diabetes. Implementation of the four pillars of management of type 2 DM is needed so that blood glucose levels remain under control. This research was conducted to determine the relationship between the implementation of the four pillars of management of type 2 DM (level of knowledge, dietary control patterns, physical activity, and adherence to taking medication) with fasting blood glucose (GDP) levels. This study uses an observational analytic method with a cross-sectional design. The study respondents consisted of 66 type 2 DM patients who came to visit the Plaju Health Center in Palembang City from 16 September 2022 to 16 October 2022. Data analysis was carried out using univariate, bivariate (chi-square method), and multivariate. The results showed that the majority of type 2 DM patients with controlled GDP levels had low levels of knowledge (15,1%), high physical activity (44,0%), dietary patterns adherence (41,9%), and high medication adherence. (40,0%). There is a significant relationship between the level of DM knowledge and GDP levels (p-value = 0,001), physical activity and GDP levels (p-value = 0,006), dietary control patterns and GDP levels (p-value = 0,001), and adherence to taking medication with GDP levels (p-value = 0,002). Diet control patterns are the pillars of DM management that most dominantly affect GDP levels in type 2 DM patients.
