Firearms are tools in the form of weapons and work by removing projectiles through the barrel with the help of flammable materials in it. Based on crime data in Indonesia for 2021, cases of violence involving firearms are theft of property rights, with the total number of incidents in 2018-2020 being 445 cases. South Sumatra is one of the 3 provinces in Indonesia with the most cases of violence using firearms. Therefore the purpose of this study was to determine the pattern of injuries to victims who died from firearms based on the results of the VeR at Bhayangkara Palembang Hospital as well as in the Medical and Health Field of the South Sumatra Regional Police which were carried out in the period January 1 2019 to June 30 2022. This study used a research design observational descriptive, using secondary data derived from Visum et Repertum victims at the Forensic Medicine Installation at Bhayangkara Hospital Palembang and Biddokkes Polda Sumsel. The data obtained will be processed using SPSS. The variables in this study were gender, age, occupation, pattern of incoming shooting based on shooting distance, location of shooting in the body, and cause of death.
