PENENTUAN WARNA GIGI ANTERIOR DENGAN SPEKTROFOTOMETER DAN KAMERA DIGITAL DALAM PEMBUATAN GIGI TIRUAN CEKAT.
Background: Fixed dentures are dentures that are restored and then permanently attached to damaged or deformed teeth to replace missing teeth. Tooth color selection is the first step before performing restorations or making dentures. Restorations can fail due to improper tooth color selection, especially in the replacement of anterior teeth that require high esthetics to support appearance. The use of efficient spectrophotometers and digital cameras greatly facilitates dentists in choosing tooth color. Objective: This study aims to determine and analyze differences in the color accuracy of anterior teeth using a spectrophotometer and digital camera in the manufacture of fixed dentures. Methods: The type of research that will be conducted is a literature review of 15 journals. Results: The results showed that 7 out of 15 journals stated that the use of a spectrophotometer in determining tooth color with the instrument method provided accurate results in the selection of anterior tooth color and 8 other journals stated that the use of a digital camera could be an alternative tool to the use of a spectrophotometer in terms of tooth color selection. digital cameras are easy to find and can incorporate effective color features to produce accurate color selection results. Conclusion: Spectrophotometer and digital camera are dental color selection tools with digital methods that give good results in terms of color accuracy and precision.
