HUBUNGAN KARAKTERISTIK MATERNAL DENGAN KEJADIAN ANEMIA PADA IBU HAMIL DI RSUP DR. MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG PERIODE TAHUN 2020-2021

Anemia is still a problem in pregnant women. According to the World Health Organization, the prevalence of anemia in pregnant women worldwide in 2019 reached 36.5%, while based on Riset Kesehatan Dasar, the prevalence of anemia in pregnant women in 2018 reached 48.9%. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between maternal characteristics and the incidence of anemia in pregnant women at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin 2020-2021 Period. This study was an observational analytic study with a cross-sectional design using secondary data from the Medical Record Installation for the period January 1st 2020 to December 31st 2021 which met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The data were then analyzed using the Chi Square test. Of the 210 samples, pregnant women with mild anemia were found in 67 people (63.8%), moderate anemia in 30 people (28.6%), and 8 people with severe anemia (7.6%). This study shows that maternal age (p=0.711; PR=1,105), gestational age (p=0.811; PR=2,000), parity (p=1.000; PR=1,072), and pregnancy interval (p=0.805; PR=1,123) were the risk factor of anemia. However, all of them were not statistically significant. Meanwhile, ANC frequency (p=1,000; PR=1,000) did not correlate with the incidence of anemia in pregnant women at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang for the 2020-2021 period. This study shows that maternal age, gestational age, parity, and pregnancy interval as the risk factor of anemia were not statistically significant. Meanwhile, ANC frequency did not correlate with the incidence of anemia in pregnant women at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang for the 2020-2021 period.
