EVALUASI INSTALASI LISTRIK GEDUNG I FAKULTAS TEKNIK UNIVERSITAS SRIWIJAYA
Electrical energy is absolutely necessary for the operation of a building, due to the large number of equipment that requires electric power as a driving force. In addition to providing benefits, electrical energy also has potential hazards to safety and can harm humans. One way to avoid unwanted events, in planning the electricity installation must meet the provisions of applicable standards. This research aims to evaluate the electrical installation in Building I of the Faculty of Engineering, Sriwijaya University to find out whether this building has met the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) and the General Regulation of Electrical Installation (PUIL 2011). After conducting research in Building I, the results obtained for the new lighting system are 2 places that have met the Indonesian National Standards (SNI), namely the multipurpose hall room with a lighting intensity of 258 lux with a standard of 250 lux and a terrace section of 60.76 lux with a standard of 60 lux that meets the standard. For the coolers installed in each room, 50% have met the cooling capacity that should be, and for the power installation still does not meet the standards because there is no grounding and there are still groups with load points up to 36 points with a standard of 20 points in 1 group. From the research results that can be stated that the electrical installation still does not meet the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) and the General Regulation of Electrical Installation (PUIL 2011), it is necessary to redesign the electrical installation in Building I, Faculty of Engineering, Sriwijaya University.
