KAJIAN POTENSI GEOWISATA DENGAN METODE ANALISIS GEOSITE DAN GEOMORPHOSITE DAERAH KECAMATAN MUARA, KABUPATEN TAPANULI UTARA, SUMATERA UTARA
The research area is in Muara District, North Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra. This area is included in the Toba Caldera Area, which is located south of Lake Toba with volcanic activity that took place during the Kwarter period which produced three main products in the form of OTT (Old Tufa Toba), MTT (Middle Tufa Toba), and YTT (Young Tufa Toba). This study aims to examine the potential of geotourism in Muara District by directly identifying each geosite contained in the research area. The methods used through analysis are quantitative (Kubaliková, 2013) and qualitative (Vujičić (2011) with several predetermined parameters. The analysis carried out will produce the feasibility value of each geosite resulting in a percentage of geotourism feasibility and feasibility zoning based on the calculation of the Geosite Assessment Model matrix. The results of geomorphosite analysis obtained in other research areas: Hutaginjang Plateau (58.67%), Sitio-tio Waterfall (56.16%), Sitihal Geosite (52.16%), Filit Sitanggor Hill (53.16%), Sibual Spring (56.16%), Riolit Batubinumbun (56.5%), and Sibandang Island (54.7%). Based on the Geosite Assessment Model (GAM), it is known that overall the geosites contained in Muara District are on the Z11 and Z22 matrix which means that accessibility, tourism value, and tourism promotion are classified as medium-high, while scientific or educational values, beauty and protection values are also classified as medium-high.
