HUBUNGAN KADAR HbA1c DAN PROFIL LIPID DENGAN KEJADIAN PENYAKIT ARTERI PERIFER PADA PASIEN KAKI DIABETES DI RSUP Dr. MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG PERIODE 2019–2021
Hyperglycemia and dyslipidemia play a role in the occurrence of peripheral arterial disease. This study aims to determine the relationship between HbA1c levels and lipid profiles with the incidence of peripheral arterial disease in diabetic foot patients at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang at the same time. This research is an analytic observational study with a cross-sectional design. This research was conducted from August to November 2022 at the Central Medical Record Unit of RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang. Sampling was done by consecutive sampling technique. A total of 11 research samples were taken retrospectively. Data were analyzed using descriptive tests, bivariate tests, and multivariate test. The bivariate test used was chi-square with Fisher's exact test and Kolmogorov-Smirnov test as alternative. Independent variables and covariates that had a significant relationship to the dependent variable would be candidates for logistic regression multivariate tests. Most of the samples were >50 years old (72.7%), male (54.5%), had normal BMI (72.7%), high blood pressure (90.9%), no history of smoking (81.8%), peripheral arterial disease (72.7%), uncontrolled HbA1c (81.8%), normal total cholesterol (72.7%), normal triglycerides (72.7%), low HDL ( 90.9%), and normal LDL (72.7%). Bivariate test results did not show a significant relationship between the incidence of peripheral arterial disease and age (p-value = 1), gender (p-value = 0.545), BMI (p-value = 0.544), blood pressure (p-value = 1 ), smoking history (p- value=0.491), HbA1c (p-value=1), total cholesterol (p-value=0.152), triglycerides (p-value=0.152), HDL (p-value=1), LDL (p-value=0.152). HbA1c levels and lipid profiles do not have a significant relationship with the incidence of peripheral arterial disease in diabetic foot patients at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang 2019–2021.
