HUBUNGAN INDEKS MASSA TUBUH DAN PARITAS DENGAN INKONTINENSIA URINE TIPE TEKANAN DAN DESAKAN PADA LANSIA DI POSYANDU LANSIA PUSKESMAS DEMPO PALEMBANG
Background: Urinary incontinence is a condition where the urine is released with an indeterminate frequency that cannot be controlled as desired. Urinary incontinence is a geriatric syndrome that has major consequences for sufferers, urinary incontinence is a morbidity that causes physical disorders, such as dermatitis and urinary tract infections. Not only physical disorders, psychosocial changes such as decreased quality of life, depression, shame and social isolation can also have an impact on sufferers of urinary incontinence. Method: This research was an analytic observational study with a cross sectional approach, This study used primary data obtained through guided interviews and uses the Questionnaire for Urinary Incontinence Diagnosis. Results: Data from 64 female elderly respondents showed that there was a significant association between body mass index for stress urinary incontinence. In addition, parity had no significant association with stress urinary incontinence. Meanwhile, urgency urinary incontinence has no significant relationship with body mass index and parity. Conclution: There was a significant association between body mass index and stress urinary incontinence
