PENGARUH HYDRAULIC RETENTION TIME TERHADAP KADAR POLUTAN AIR LIMBAH RUMAH MAKAN MENGGUNAKAN CONSTRUCTED WETLAND TIPE FREE WATER SURFACE
Population growth in Indonesia can cause various problems, one of which is population density. The impact of population density, especially in urban areas, is the increased use of clean water which has an impact on increasing domestic waste. This waste, which is increasing day by day, can be dangerous. One of the technologies to reduce pollutant levels in wastewater at an economical price is the construction of wetlands. This technology has a close relationship with the removal of waste water content, namely BOD, COD, TSS and Fatty Oil. This research is an experiment where laboratory tests will be carried out to determine the effect of residence time on pollutant levels contained in the coventown restaurant waste before and after entering the built wetlands. The initial conditions of the coventown restaurant greywater waste in laboratory testing were BOD 4,808 mg/L, COD 6,023 mg/L, TSS 1,257 mg/L and Fatty Oil 15,216 mg/L. The optimal removal efficiency for BOD, COD and Fatty Oil levels was obtained at 48 hours, while for TSS the optimal time was obtained at 72 hours. As for the calculation of the ideal residence time, it is 0.98 hours/day.
