HUBUNGAN ANTARA GEJALA KLINIS DENGAN LOKASI PERLENGKETAN LESI PADA PENDERIT ENDOMETRIOSIS DI RSUP DR. MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG TAHUN 2019-2021.
Background: Endometriosis is a chronic condition in which the implantation of functional uterine tissue outside the uterine cavity causes dysmenorrhea, dyspareunia, dyschezia, and dysuria. Establishing a diagnosis is quite difficult, using operative methods such as laparotomy and anatomical pathology. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between clinical symptoms and the location of the adhesions of the lesion to make the diagnosis faster because it can estimate the location of the lesion in advance. Methods: Observational analytic research by collecting secondary data in the form of medical records with a cross-sectional approach. The total number of samples that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria were 102 patients. Statistical analysis was carried out using chi square test and fisher exact test. Results: In this study, 54 patients (52.9%) of the adhesions were found in the uterus and the most common clinical symptom was dysmenorrhea, which was 71 patients (69,6%). There are several adhesions and multiple clinical symptoms, in this study using the main symptoms and using all locations of adhesions. In the analysis of the relationship between the symptoms of dysmenorrhea and the location in the uterus, a p-value of 0.732 was obtained and the relationship of dyspareunia symptoms with the location in the cul de sac obtained a p value of 0.525. Meanwhile, research on the relationship between clinical symptoms of dyschezia and location in the rectum obtained p value of 0.031 and PR value of 10.90 (95% CI 1.19 – 99.78). Conclusion: There is no relationship between the clinical symptoms of dysmenorrhea with the location of the adhesions in the uterus and the relationship between the clinical symptoms of dyspareunia and the location of the adhesions in the cul de sac. However, there is a relationship between the clinical symptoms of dyschezia and the location of the adhesions in the rectum. Suggestions from this study should add new variables such as symptoms of post-coital bleeding and chronic pelvic pain and the location of adhesions in the ovaries. Keywords: Endometriosis, clinical symptoms, location of lesion adhesion
