KESALAHAN MAHASISWA FKIP UNIVERSITAS SRIWIJAYA DALAM MENYELESAIKAN SOAL PEMODELAN MATEMATIKA KONTEKS CLIMATE CHANGE
This research is a descriptive study that aims to describe the errors of students of FKIP Sriwijaya University in solving mathematical modeling problems in the context of Climate change. One of the procedures that can find out the errors made by students is the Newman error procedure. The results of this study with 52 subjects were 1) Types of errors by FKIP Sriwijaya University students in solving mathematical modeling problems in the context of climate change as follows: a) For problem 1 there was a 23.1% error in understanding the problem, 46.2% transformation error, writing error of 32,7%. b) For question 2, there are 15,4% errors in understanding the problem, 96.2% transformation errors, 96.2% processing skills errors, and 36.5% writing errors; 2) The causes of errors by FKIP Sriwijaya University students in solving mathematical modeling problems in the context of climate change are as follows: a) errors in reading. b) errors in determining the problem and existing information. c) mistakes in making assumptions. d) errors in identifying variabels. e) errors in making mathematical models.
