HUBUNGAN FAKTOR RISIKO RIWAYAT KELAHIRAN DENGAN TULI KONGENITAL DI RUMAH SAKIT MOHAMMAD HUSIN PALEMBANG
Background: The National Committee for the Prevention of Hearing Loss and Deafness states that congenital deafness is deafness that occurs from birth or during infancy caused by factors that influence it. Congenital deafness is often slow to detect so there is a high risk of causing sommunication disorders in the future This study will examine the relationship between the risk factors for a history of birth with congenital deafness in General Hospital Mohammad Husin Palembang. Method: This research uses observational analytic method with cross sectional design with total sampling technique. This study used secondary data from medical records at the ENT Department General Hospital Mohammad Husin Palembang. Data analysis was performed using the SPSS version 26 program. Result: There is 56,2% patients had congenital deafness from the 130 data obtained. There is a relationship between congenital deafness with history of low birth weight (p 0,036), TORCH (p 0,022) dan asphyxia (p 0,038). Logistic regression analysis showed a history of TORCH infection with p value 0,002 and OR 15.63 being the most influential factor. Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that there is a relationship between a history of LBW, TORCH, and asphyxia with congenital deafness in General Hospital Mohammad Husin Palembang. The most influential risk factor for congenital deafness in this study was history of TORCH infection. Keywords: : Congenital deafness, birth, history of disease
