Thyroid cancer is 95% of all cancer in endocrine gland, and its incidence has continuously increased in the last three decades all over the world. Age, sex, obesity, and family history are the risk factors for thyroid cancer. The aim of this study is to acknowledge the risk factor of thyroid cancer patients in RSUP Dr.Mohammad Hoesin Palembang. This is a cross-sectional study and carried out among 98 patients with thyroid cancer at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang from 2019 until 2021. Secondary data were obtained by systematic sampling techniques using medical records. From 98 patients with thyroid cancer, it could be concluded that thyroid cancer is the most frequently diagnosed in the age group of 50-60 years (29,6%). Females were predominant that attributed to 82,7% than males (17,3%). Thyroid cancer patients are usually found with normal BMI (39,8%) and family history was not found in the patients. Incidence rate of the thyroid cancer was 14,2% of the nodul thyroid. Incidence rate of thyroid cancer is 14,2%. Risk factor at the age group of 50-60 years, females, and normal BMI.
