This study aims to determine the role of parents in stimulate children's independence in group B Kelurahan Tiga Puluh Enam Ilir Palembang, in this study using data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires (questionnaires), interviews and documentation attachments. The data used is descriptive quantitative analysis of percentages. The samples taken were parents who had group B children in Kelurahan Tiga Puluh Enam Ilir Palembang, totaling 20 respondents. The results showed that the overall value of the data obtained was 78.12% in the always category (SL). In the indicator of having self-confidence, there is 83.75% in the always category (SL). Then on the indicator of not depending on other people there is a 68.75% frequent category (SR). Then on the indicator of being responsible for one's behavior for one's own good there is 81.87%. Based on the results above, it can be seen that the lowest indicator of the independence of group B children is the indicator of not depending on others. Thus it is suggested for future researchers to focus more on indicators that do not depend on others.
