ANALISIS PENGOLAHAN LIMBAH CAIR NON MEDIS DI RUMAH SAKIT UMUM DAERAH KABUPATEN OGAN ILIR
Liquid waste will be more dangerous for the environment if the processed waste is found in hospitals in unfavorable conditions, contains hazardous materials, is infectious and is radioactive so that it will cause problems for the environment such as soil and groundwater pollution. The purpose of this study was to analyze the processing of non-medical liquid waste at the Ogan Ilir District General Hospital. The method used is descriptive qualitative, with 4 informants (1 Head of Sanitation, 1 head of IPAL and 2 staff). Information was obtained from in-depth interviews, field observations, and review of laboratory test results for analysis of effluent quality. Validity is done by means of triangulation of sources, methods, and data. The results showed that the source of hospital liquid waste mostly came from domestic waste and from the discussion, an overview was obtained of the liquid waste treatment system for the Regional Public Hospital in Ogan Ilir Regency using the biofilter method with processed quality that meets the quality standards of RI Minister of Environment and Forestry No.68 year 2016 concerning domestic liquid waste. The conclusion from this study is that the liquid waste treatment process is not in accordance with RI Minister of Health Regulation no. 7 of 2019 concerning hospital environmental health. Processing using a biofilter system is the right choice considering that the waste generated by the hospital has high organic pollutant compounds, but there is no liquid waste minimization carried out by the Ogan Ilir District Hospital. It is recommended to provide a measuring device for liquid waste parameters so that checks can be carried out independently once a month to be used as evaluation material so that checking activities are in accordance with the standards in Permenkes RI No. 7th year 2019.
