ANALISIS KARAKTERISTIK PASIEN DAN PERILAKU KOMSUMSI OBAT DENGAN KEPATUHAN MINUM OBAT ANTIRETROVIRAL (ARV) PADA PENDERITA HIV/AIDSDI KOTA JAMBI.
HIV / AIDS is a collection of symptoms of a disease that attacks the human body after the immune system is damaged by the HIV virus. Currently there is no cure for HIV/AIDS infection. ARV drugs are only to reduce the amount of HIV in the bloodstream so that the sufferer stays healthy. Patient compliance in undergoing Antiretroviral (ARV) therapy can be influenced by several factors. The purpose of this study was to analyze the determinants of adherence to taking ARV drugs in patients with HIV/AIDS) in Jambi City. This research is quantitative with descriptive analytic observational and cross sectional approach. The sample of this study were 239 people with HIV/AIDS who were taking ARV therapy. The results of this study are that there is a relationship between respondents' knowledge and adherence to ARV, there is no relationship between attitudes and adherence to taking ARV drugs, there is a relationship between actions and adherence to ARV drugs, there is no relationship between age and adherence to ARV drugs, there is no relationship between gender and adherence. taking ARV drugs, there is no relationship between education and adherence to taking ARV drugs, there is a relationship between family support and adherence to taking ARV drugs, and there is no relationship between length of treatment and adherence to taking ARV drugs for HIV/AIDS sufferers in Jambi City. Regarding the action that is the most dominant factor influencing the adherence of PLWHA to taking ARV drugs, Jambi City Health Facilities (Puskesmas, Abdul Manap Hospital and Kanti Sehati Jambi) should further improve informants' understanding of the importance of adherence to taking ARVs by providing related information. through counseling.
