The problem of waste is still found in all areas both urban and residential in Indonesia. One of the waste problems that are quite difficult to overcome is market waste. The purpose of this study is to determine the management system of market waste management and fly density. This study was using qualitative research methods. The information of this study was obtained from observation sheets and in-depth interviews, and data analysis using fly grills and matrices. There were 12 informants in this study. The validity test was conducted through triangulation of sources, methods, and data. The results of the research on waste management, starting from institutions, regulations, and financing, were not compatible with SNI 3242:2008, so the operation of waste management from sorting and collecting in the Jakabaring main market is not optimal. This can be seen from the availability of waste management facilities and infrastructure. The traders' waste storage was made vegetable and fruit containers. The conclusion is the management of waste management at the Jakabaring Main Market is not compatible with the Regulation of the Minister of Public Works of the Republic of Indonesia Number 03/Prt/M/2013 the Implementation of Waste Infrastructure and Facilities in the Handling of Household Waste and Types of Household Waste, resulting in high fly density and requires control. The suggestions for PT were to add the waste management facilities such as adding strong waste container facilities and to increase the traders’ participation such as placing garbage in closed trash cans so that they do not become breeding grounds for fly vectors.
