The objectives of this research are: (1) Describing the condition of lowland swamp rice farmers and the obstacles faced to survive in Arisan Musi Timur Village, Muara Belida District, (2) Identify existing local wisdom and the applifiation of local wisdom strategies for Lebak swamp rice farmers in Arisan Musi Timur Village, Muara Belida District, (3) Calculating the contribution of the application of local wisdom strategies outside of farming to the total income of farmer households in Arisan Musi Timur Village, Muara Belida District. This research was conducted in Arisan Musi Timur Village, Muara Belida District. The selection and collection of data at this location was carried out intentionally or purposively. Data collection was carried out in June 2022. The research method used in this study was a survey method. Sampling samples in this study were swamp rice farmers in Arisan Musi Timur Village who also applied traditional fishing and laying duck farming. Sample selection using purposive sampling method or intentionally. The results showed that (1) Arisan Musi Timur Village is a village that has lowland swamp land conditions. The problems that arise from the condition of the land and the climate of this village are causing problems in crop production and income that is not sufficient to meet household needs. The planting season can only be carried out effectively once a year, namely from July to November which causes rice farming as the main source of income not to sufficiently meet the needs, (2) Lebak swamp rice farmers in Arisan Musi Timur Village have a variety of local wisdom that exists and is still being applied to every business he undertakes. In Lebak swamp rice farming, local wisdom is applied using traditional processing methods and tools. In traditional fishing, one of the local wisdoms is the Bekarang celebration. And for the laying duck business, the breeders also apply local wisdom. One of the local wisdom is in the process of rearing duck breeds that are released freely by the farmers to find their own food consumption, (3) The contribution of non-rice farming traditional fishing and laying ducks of total household income is quite significant, which is 62.96 percent.
