KELIMPAHAN DAN KEANEKARAGAMAN SPESIES ARTROPODA PENYERBUK PADA CABAI (Capsicum annuum L.) DI OGAN ILIR, SUMATERA SELATAN
Chili (Capsicum annuum L.) is a vegetable commodity that has high economic value and high market demand. This causes the productivity of chili production in Indonesia to reach 20 tons/ha per year. Pollinating insects are indispensable in agriculture and play an important role in pollinating chili plants. This study used the census method with diagonal sampling in which there were 5 sampling points at each plot/plot in each field, then counted the population of pollinating arthropods starting from the chilies aged 120, 127, 134, 141 and 148 days after planting. The arthropods that have been obtained are then counted and documented at the Entomology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. Observations were made for five weeks in three research areas. The results showed that the highest abundance of arthropod-pollinating arthropod species was in Tanjung Steko (C), this was because the vegetation around the land affected the presence of pollinating arthropods, namely corn, eggplant and cucumber plants. Meanwhile, the diversity of pollinating arthropod species in the three observation sites has a value that is almost the same as H'1, which means that it has a diversity value at a moderate level. The conclusion of this study was that there were 9 species of pollinating arthropods including 6 species of the order Hymenoptera, 2 species of the order Lepidoptera and 1 species of the order Araneae. The pollinating arthropod species are Apis cerana, Tetragonula laeviceps, Nomia sp, Amata huebneri, Apis andreniformis, Oxyopes javanus. Acraea terpiscore, Tetragonula sapiens and Apis dorsata. The highest species abundance was found at Tanjung Steko (C) with a total of 174 insects. The diversity of the three fields has almost the same H'1 value, which means the diversity value is at a moderate level, this is influenced by the vegetation around the land. Diverse vegetation can affect the presence of various pollinating arthropod species
