PENGARUH HARA KALSIUM (Ca) TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL KELAPA SAWIT(Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) DI LAHAN KERING.
The purpose of the study was to determine the good dose of calcium (dolomite origin) to increase the growth and yield of oil palm aged 15 years of the Marihat variety. This research was carried out from February to June in the oil palm research station (-3°13'14.5", 104°38'25.6") of Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The study was designed in Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 6 treatments and 4 blocks. The treatments were P0 = without addition of calcium (control), P1 = 360 g Ca/plant (1.2 kg dolomite), P2 = 720 g Ca/plant (2.4 kg dolomite), P3 = 1.080 g Ca/plant (3.6 kg dolomite), P4 = 1.440 g Ca/plant (4.8 kg dolomite), P5 = 1.800 g Ca/plant (6 kg dolomite). The results of this study show that calcium application can increase soil pH from 4.70 to 5.77, and Ca content in the leaves on the 17th midrib from 0.72% to 0.92%. Based on anova, calcium application had significantly for number of spear leaves and number of female flower bunches, it was not significantly for fresh fruit bunches. Calcium at a dose of P4 = 1.440 g Ca/plant (4.8 kg dolomite) was good treatment for the increase of female flower bunches. Keyword : Oil Palm, Calcium, Dry Land, Dolomite
