Pepper plant is a plantation commodity that plays an important role in export and import activities. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the types of pepper pests at dead and live stages in Beruas Village, Simpang Katis District, Bangka Belitung Islands Province. This study used the direct observation method on pepper cultivation using dead and live rates. The number of plants observed was 50 plants at dead stage and 50 plants at live stage by calculating the number and type of pest species, the percentage and intensity of pest attacks. The results showed that there were 6 species of pests found on pepper plants with dead and live spikes, namely bush snails (Bradybaena similaris), fruit suckers (Dasynus piperis), flower suckers (Diconocoris hewetti), caterpillars (Hyposidra talaca), stem borers. (Lophobaris piperis) and grasshoppers (Valanga nigricornis). The dominant pest on the dead stage was D. piperis and the dominant pest on the live stage was the flower sucker D. hewetti. The percentages of attack by B. similaris, D. piperis, D. hewetti, H. talaca, L. piperis and V. nigricornis at death rates were 21%, 65%, 52%, 14%, 34% and 8%. The percentages of attack by B. similaris, D. piperis, D. hewetti, H. talaca, L. piperis and V. nigricornis at normal life stages were 7%, 40%, 76%, 10%, 8% and 8%. The intensity of attacks by B. similaris, D. piperis, D. hewetti, H. talaca, L. piperis and V. nigricornis at dead rates were 5%, 15%, 13%, 4%, 9% and 2%. The intensity of attacks by B. similaris, D. piperis, D. hewetti, H. talaca, L. piperis and V. nigricornis at survival rate were 2%, 10%, 20%, 3%, 2% and 2%.
