PERSENTASE BOBOT KARKAS, BAGIAN KARKAS, DAN LEMAK ABDOMEN AYAM BROILER DENGAN PEMBERIAN JUS TEMULAWAK (Curcuma xanthorrhiza Roxb)
This research was carried out for 35 days in the Experimental Cage of the Animal Husbandry Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. This study aimed to determine the effect of temulawak (Curcuma xanthorrhiza Roxb) juice addition which was fed forcibly to broiler chickens. This study used 80 broiler strains of Lohmann MB-202 obtained from PT. Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk (JAPFA), Segayam Village, Gelumbang District, Muara Enim Regency. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 5 replications. These treatments consisted of P0 (control), P1 (0,5% temulawak juice /body weight), P2 (1% temulawak juice/body weight), and P3 (1.5% temulawak juice/body weight). The observed variables were the percentage of carcass weight, carcass portion, and abdominal fat. The results showed that the addition of temulawak juice with the cekok method had a significant effect on the percentage of abdominal fat (P0.05) on the percentage of carcass and carcass parts of broiler chickens.
