KELANGSUNGAN HIDUP DAN PERTUMBUHAN LARVA IKAN TAMBAKAN (Helostoma temminckii) YANG DIPELIHARA DALAM BERBAGAI WADAH DENGAN WARNA BERBEDA.
This study aimed to determine the best color in the rearing container for the survival and growth of kissing gourami larvae. This research was carried out at the Basic Fisheries Laboratory, Aquaculture Study Program, Fisheries Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sriwijaya, and the measurement of whole body fluid glucose at the Palembang Health Laboratory Center in April-May 2022. This study used a completely randomized design consisting of five treatments and three replications with different colors of the rearing container, namely blue (P1), green (P2), black (P3), white (P4), and orange (P5). Parameters observed included survival, absolute growth, feed consumption level, oxygen consumption level, fish body fluid glucose, feed response, fish behavior, and water quality. The results showed kissing gourami larvae reared in blue color (P1) was the best treatment resulting in a survival rate of 81%, absolute weight growth of 335.33 mg, absolute length growth of 2.81 cm, feed consumption rate of feed used given (Artemia sp. 4.50 g/7 days, Moina sp. 5.33 g/5 days, and commercial pellets 34.53 g/18 days), oxygen consumption level 0.071 mg O2 g-1 h-1, glucose body fluids 53.56 mg dL-1. The behavior of fish larvae generally changed after seven days of rearing. The response of kissing gourami larvae to feed was highest in treatment P1 (blue tank), with a duration of 15-28 seconds. The water quality during rearing was still within the tolerance limits for a culture of fish larvae: temperature 27.4-28.6 °C, pH 6.2-7.1, and dissolved oxygen 4.54-4.88 mg L-1.
