EFEKTIVITAS DAUN MERDEKA (Chromolaena odorata) UNTUK PENGOBATAN PENYAKIT MOTILE AEROMONAS SEPTICEMIA PADA IKAN LELE MUTIARA (Clarias gariepinus).
Catfish (Clarias gariepinus) is one type of freshwater fish that is favored by the community. Constraints in catfish farming are disease attacks. One of the diseases that often attack is Motile Aeromonas Septicemia (MAS). Chromolaena odorata is a wild plant that is considered a weed has antibacterial properties and is able to ward off free radicals. This study aimed to determine the effect of soaking extract the leaf of Chromolaena odorata to treat Aeromonas hydrophila bacterial infection in catfish. The experimental design used a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of four treatments with three replication. K+ means that catfish is infected and not soaked in the extract. P1 means catfish was infected and the extract was soaked with a concentration of MBC (2 mL L-1 is equivalent to 666.67 mg extract). P2 means catfish was infected and the extract was soaked with a concentration of 2 MBC (4 mL L-1 is equivalent to 1333.34 mg extract), P3 means catfish was infected and the extract was soaked with a concentration of 3 MBC (6 mL L-1 is equivalent to 2000 mg extract), all treatments were soaked for 60 minutes. The best research results were found in treatment P1 with a volume of 2 ml L-1, able to treat Aeromonas hydrophila bacterial infection in catfish where the erythrocytes, leukocytes and hematocrit values were in the normal range compared to the treatment K+ , with the highest survival value of 70%, the highest percentage of recovered fish was 100%, the absolute weight growth was 22.52 g and the absolute length was 6.78 cm.
