UJI KINERJA PERAJANG SINGKONG (Manihot esculanta,sp) DENGAN PENAMBAHAN SISTEM PENGUMPANAN TIPE ALIRAN HORIZONTAL BERTENAGA KINETIK PEGAS.
This research aims to modify the material intake funnel so that the cassava to be cut does not leave residue and operator safety when operating the cassava chopper machine. This research was conducted from March 2020 to October 2020. This research used a cassava chopper using a blade plate rotation speed of 795.5 rpm which was measured using a tachometer. The materials used were cassava (Manihot Esculanta, sp). This study uses a descriptive method where the data during the field test is entered into a formula which then gets the results in the form of numbers without changing certain variables, with parameters including the calculation of pulley speed, maximum load on the screw spring (spring), the amount of torsional moment (spring), stress. shear pedal (spring), the maximum stress that occurs on the surface of the coil, the thickness of the cut after chopping, the number of pieces of cassava, the variation of cassava pieces per unit spring, the cross-sectional area of the cassava, the volume of cassava chopped, the specific gravity of the cassava, the speed of rotation of the blade plate (circular blade), the theoretical working capacity of the cassava chopper, the work efficiency of the chopper, electric power, energy requirements, energy efficiency.
