PERTUMBUHAN TANAMAN CHAYA (Cnidoscolus aconitifolius) DENGAN BERBAGAI PANJANG STEK DAN KONSENTRASI ZAT PENGATUR TUMBUH.
Chaya plant (Cnidoscolus aconitifolius) is a plant that belongs to the annual vegetables group, this plant originated from the Yucatan peninsula of Mexico. Chaya plants are cultivated by vegetative propagation through stem cuttings. This study aimed to determine the best cutting length and concentration of growth regulators in the propagation of Chaya plant (Cnidoscolus aconitifolius Var. Picuda). This research was conducted in the Mandala experimental field from August to October 2022. This study used Factorial Randomized Group Design (FRGD), namely the treatment of different cutting lengths and different concentrations of growth regulators with each consisting 3 replications, then the data were analyzed using ANOVA. Cutting length treatment of 20 cm gave the best results with live cuttings percentage of 69.6% and growing shoots percentage of 70%. Meanwhile, the concentration of growth regulators gave the best results at a concentration of 200 ppm. The percentage of living cuttings was 72.7% and the percentage of growing shoots was 73%. So the length of the cuttings did not affect the chaya plant, but the concentration of growth regulators showed significant results. During the growth period, the length of the cuttings was 25 cm and the concentration of 200 ppm gave the best results for almost all observed variables. Some variables at harvest and after harvest showed that the length of the cuttings was 25 cm and the regulator 100 ppm gave the best results.
