The climbing perch is a fish that has a potential to be developed. However, one of obstacles is its slow growth because climbing perch takes 6-7 months to reach a size of 8-10 cm. This study aimed to determine the feed efficiency and growth performance of climbing perch reared using the periodic fasting method and the best fasting period for climbing perch rearing. This research was conducted at the Fisheries Basic Laboratory, Aquaculture Study Program, Department of Fisheries, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sriwijaya, from September–October 2022, using a completely randomized design with four treatments and three replications. The treatments used were different fasting time; namely, the control treatment (P0) was without fasting; P1 was 1 day fasted, 1 day was given food; P2 was 1 day fasted, 2 days was given food, and P3 was 1 day fasted, 3 days were given food.
