The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of local microorganisms through leaves and the addition of coffee grounds as organic fertilizer on watermelon (Citrullus lanatus L.) plants. This research was conducted on October 4, 2021 to December 1, 2021. This research was conducted at the Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya, Ogan Ilir. This research was conducted using a factorial randomized block design consisting of 2 factors. Each factor consisted of 16 treatments and 3 replications, so there were 96 treatment units with each treatment unit consisting of 2 plants. The treatment of this study consisted of 2 factors, namely the first factor, namely the dose of LMO M0 = (Control), M1 = (LMO 100 ml), M2 = (LMO 200 ml), M3 = (LMO 300 ml). and the second factor is coffee grounds A0 = (Control), A1 = (coffee grounds at a dose of 50 grams), A2 = (coffee grounds at a dose of 100 grams), A3 = (coffee grounds at a dose of 150 grams). The parameters observed in this study were plant height, flowering age, number of flowers, number of fruits, fruit weight, fruit circumference, fruit length and sugar content. The results of this study showed that the LMO treatment had no significant effect on all parameters, the use of coffee grounds did not significantly affect all parameters, the interaction of the combination of LMO and coffee grounds did not significantly affect all parameters, lack of decomposition of organic fertilizers thus inhibiting plant growth.
