EVALUASI KUALITAS FERMENTASI SILASE SERBUK PELEPAH SAWIT DAN DEDAK PADI YANG DISUPLEMENTASI VITAMIN B KOMPLEKS 2% DAN MINERAL MIX 1% SECARA IN VITRO
This study aims was to determine the quality of silage fermentation of palm fronds and rice bran powder added with 2% vitamin B complex and 1% mineral mix in vitro. This research was carried out from August to September 2022 at the Animal Husbandry Laboratory of the Animal Science Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University and carried out analysis at the Animal Feed and Nutrition Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University . This study was conducted using a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 3 treatments and 3 replications including silage of palm oil fronds and rice bran powder as (P0), silage of palm oil fronds and rice bran powder supplemented with 2% vitamin B complex (P1), silage palm oil frond powder and rice bran supplemented with 1% mineral mix (P2). Parameters observed were pH, total Volatile Vatty Acid (VFA), NH3 which were analyzed using SPSS software and Duncan's test. The results of this study indicate that palm oil frond powder silage supplemented with 2% vitamin B complex and 1% mineral mix was able to increase the total VFA value from P0 of 8.40 mM to P1 of 23.38 mM and mineral mix supplementation was able to increase the NH3 (P0) of 8.35 mM to (P2)16.55 mM.
