The aims of study were to (1) Identify the characteristic of age, gender, educations, number of family members, experience, land area, and land ownership of rice farmers in lowland swamp with the surjan system in Tebing Gerinting Utara Village (2) Analyse the process of lowland swamp rice farming activities with the surjan system in Tebing Gerinting Utara Village (3) Calculate the income of rice farmers from lowland swamp with surjan system in Tebing Gerinting Utara Village. The research method used in this study was the survey method. The sampling method used is the Simple Random Sampling method and data collected through direct interviews with 30 rice farmers. The collection of data used is primary data and secondary data. Data processing used a likert scale and income. The results showed that farmers who carry out rice farming were Characteristics of farmers who carry out lowland swamp rice farming with the surjan system are farmers aged 41-50 years (productive), more of them are of primary school education level, 4 family members with experience of 11-20 years, land area of 0.5 hectares, and most of it is leased land. The process of rice farming activities is in a fairly good category with a total average score of 87.47 consisting of production input processes with an average score of 26.44, cultivation processes with an average score of 32.86, post-harvest processes with an average score -average 28.16 which all the results show a pretty good category with an average income of lowland swamp rice farmers of Rp6.752.278/hectar/planting season.
