Production efficiency was needed to achieve minimum production costs in obtained maximum added value, through the used of technology, product management, production scale and optimal used of production factors. Efficiency was also needed in managed oil palm plantations so that farmers can produce maximum production. analyze the level of efficiency of independent palm oil production in Sungai Rengit Village, Talang Kelapa District, Banyuasin Regency, Analyze socio-economic relations with affect the efficiency of independent palm oil production in Sungai Rengit Village, Talang Kelapa District, Banyuasin Regency, Formulate strategies to improve the efficiency of independent oil palm farming in the Village Rengit River, Talang Kelapa District, Banyuasin Regency. The location selection was done purposively. The research method used in the research was the survey method, and the sampling method used was simple random sampling used the slovin formula. The total sample of oil palm farmers was 33 samples. Data were analyzed used Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and correlation test. The results showed that independent oil palm farming in Sungai Rengit Village, Talang Kelapa District, Banyuasin Regency was not technically and allocatively efficient. In terms of technical efficiency, only 5 DMU (15,15%) were efficient and for allocative efficiency, only 2 DMU (6,07%) were efficient.
