APLIKASI Trichoderma sp. TERHADAP PENYAKIT LAYU FUSARIUM PADA TANAMAN MENTIMUN (Cucumis sativus L.)
Cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) is a type of vegetable that has high economic value. The nutrional content contained in cucumbers makes cucumbers much-loved by people from all walks of life and the price is relatively affordable. Many farmers cultivate cucumber plants because the maintenance is quite easy and the harvest is fast. But in the cultivation process there are many obstacles that can inhibit the growth and development of cucumbers, and can affect the yield of cucumber production. The many pests and diseases that can attack cucumber plants make farmers anxious, how to control them, most farmers use pesticides to reduce attacks from pests and diseases. Diseases that commonly attack cucumber plants are fusarium wilt caused by Fusarium oxysporum, antracnose diseases by Colletotrichum lagenarium and leaf spot disease by Altenaria cucumerina. The way that can be done to control diseases in cucumbers is by using antagonistic fungi that can suppress the development of fusarium in the soil. Such as the fungus Trichoderma sp. which is able to control the attack of Fusarium oxysporum fungus. This research was conducted to find out whether it is true that the fungus Trichoderma sp. with high doses can suppress the development of fusarium. This skripsi research was carried out from August to December 2022. The method used was RAK with 4 treatments and 9 replications. Reseach trials are carried out using soil that has been sterilized so that only the desired diseases appear. The observation results obtained during 5 observations, namely the percentage of fusarium wilt attack was lower in the 40ml Trichoderma sp. treatment, namely in the P3 treatment. While the highest attacks occurred in the control treatment (P0) which was not given Trichoderma. The treatment carried out had no significant effect on plant height and number of leaves, due to environmental conditions and the difference between treatments was not significant. Keywords : Cucumber, Fusarium oxysporum, Trichoderma sp.
