This study aims to find out how the management of waqf assets and the role of the existence of productive waqf that is managed towards economic empowerment at Aulia Cendekia Islamic Boarding School Palembang. The type of research used in this research is descriptive-quantitative then the data collection method that the research used is observation, interview and documentation. The analytical technique used ini this research is data tabulation. The research results show that (1) Waqf management at Aulia Cendekia Boarding School Palembang is already well but not optimal yet because Aulia Cendekia Boarding School stil using individual management rather than having a specific chart. The management system is in semi-profesional phase. (2) Productive waqf resulted in a positive trend towards economic empowerment at Aulia Cendekia Islamic Boarding School Palembang. The accumulation of revenue from economic business units increase with a average growth of 23,3 percent each year.
