NALISIS DAMPAK REMITANSI TENAGA KERJA INDONESIA TERHADAP NILAI TUKAR MATA UANG ASING DI INDONESIA TAHUN 2006-2019.
Substantial remittance flows are widely utilized by developing countries including Indonesia. In addition to reducing unemployment, also to increase foreign exchange reserves. Foreign exchange reserves are used to finance the balance of payments and maintain exchange rate stability. This study aims to analyze the impact caused of remittances generated by Indonesian workers (TKI) who work in 8 major countries placement of migrant workers on foreign exchange rates in Indonesia, both partially and simultaneously. This type of research is descriptive and verification with quantitative approach. The data used in this study is secondary data from several sources such as Bank Indonesia, World Bank, and BPS. This study used panel data analysis with a research sample of 8 main countries for the placement of migrant workers in 2006 to 2019. The Model chosen in this study is Fixed Effect Model (FEM). The results showed that partially remittances positive and significant effect on the exchange rate of 8 foreign currencies in Indonesia amounted to 0.268367 and the number of migrant workers negative and significant effect on the exchange rate of 8 foreign currencies in Indonesia amounted to -1.391333. And simultaneously remittances and the number of migrant workers significantly affect the exchange rate.
